Didn’t Drink The Kool-Aid

Yup, you read that correctly.

I headed off to Vegas last Sunday evening for a four-day event with David Neagle called ERS.  Turns out, I came home after being there for two days.  I’m officially an ERS drop out.

David has a great message to deliver to the world.  I appreciate his energy and his purpose in life.

Honestly, I should have booked a room at the Four Seasons Biltmore in Santa Barbara and hung out with myself for a few days of solitude and silence.

The backdrop of Vegas, the stretched out Q&A sessions, and Ali Brown’s sales pitch threw this mother-of-two over-the-edge (greatly appreciate Ali’s work but it was bad timing).  And let’s not forget the 5.4 earthquake that hit LA while I was away.  My spirit told me to go home.

There are several silver linings to the story.  I met a bunch of wonderful people (Beth Davis and her husband, Mark, for starters) and I connected with my VA sisters who were also there.  I recognized many people from Facebook, which was surreal. Seriously started to question who’s who.  Details of the event have been “buried in Vegas,” as David puts it.

All was not lost.

I have an initial consultation set up with someone I met at the seminar. (She also left early–had to throw that in. We’re both drop outs. Per-rrr-fect.)

I gained a lot from the experience.

It confirmed for me what I don’t like and what I really need.  It opened the door for many ideas and, for that, I am grateful to David and his team (Erin, Monaica, Blue, Debbie, Body Guard #1 and #2, and the myriad of other folks that helped organize the event).

A special thank you to Lucho and Lisa Crisalle for their Kangen water. (What’s in that stuff??)

    Mia,

I’m so glad you listened to your intuition and went home. The most important thing we can learn is to trust ourselves.

    Yay, you!

    Love,
    Dawn

I have a serious allergic reaction to sales pitches and i can imagine being out of your element would only make it worse.

    Mia,

I’m proud of you for doing exactly what you felt was right for you. What a brave decision - bravo!

    Mia:

It was wonderful to meet you in LV and I would love to connect with you at a deeper level to talk through what you experienced - if you are open to it. Lucho and I were honored to have the opportunity to provide the healthy alternative “magic” water, and very happy that you got to experience it as well.

Part of our life’s “process” is listening to ourselves, so honor yourself that you did so. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to connect as well.

P.S. I love your blog and am also interested in talking with you further re: business.

    Mia,

Good for you! I admire you for listening to your intuition. This is something that I really am trying to do.

As VAs, it is so important!

Takes ‘kahuna’s’ (official spelling) to walk your talk - and then talk about it well.

Hats off to you. I’m officially impressed. Thanks for sharing.
